The books are governed by their Creative Commons licences; the site is provided as it is; and our name may not be used to imply endorsement.
The Books
Every book we publish carries a Creative Commons licence, stated on the book and in its metadata. That licence, not this page, governs what you may do with the content. Under our default CC BY 4.0 licence you may read, download, copy, redistribute, adapt, translate, mine and build on the work, including commercially, provided you attribute it properly. Nothing on this page restricts a right the licence grants you.
Some items within a book (images, archival material, long quotations) may be separately licensed and are marked as such. To reuse those, approach the rights holder.
The Website
- You may use this site for any lawful purpose.
- You may not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorised access to it, or use it to distribute malicious software.
Our Name and Marks
The Bassi Foundation Press name, imprint and logo are ours. Using them in a way that suggests we published, endorsed or approved something we did not is not permitted. Reproducing the imprint when correctly citing one of our books is permitted.
Accuracy and Availability
We take care over what we publish, and our editorial and corrections procedures are set out in full. Even so, the site and its content are provided as they are. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the content. The corrections and post-publication review procedures exist for this reason.
Links to Other Sites
We link to funders, repositories, indexes and sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted here with the date. Changes to this page never affect a Creative Commons licence already granted on a published book; those are irrevocable.
